Michael Angelo

Five-year-old Michael arrives at the farmhouse with his mother, Catherine, bringing the family face-to-face with the child of the son who left them behind. The Last Supper
At an Easter dinner in 1987, Michael’s family struggles to maintain a fragile peace as old resentments, buried histories, and sharply conflicting beliefs rise to the surface. Great Good
Left alone after the family’s disastrous Easter dinner, Hariette returns to her sewing and reflects on the suffering she has witnessed across a lifetime—the cruelty directed at her grandson, the division between her sons, a brother scarred by war, and promises of progress that brought new pain instead. Still, she holds fast to the belief that something better can emerge when people choose love and acceptance, even if they do not live to see it.
